Scan users and loyalty cards

Give your regulars a stamp card on your own site. Users show a code on their phone, your staff scan it with their own phone's camera and tap Confirm: a stamp, a check-in, class attendance or a free coffee, with no card machine or extra app.

Say this to your AI

What your AI will ask you

• What a scan does: for example "+1 Coffee stamp", "Check in" or "Class attended", and the reward it leads to, such as a free coffee after 9 stamps. You can have up to 6 of these on a site.
• How often: how many times a day one user can get each stamp. Once a day is the usual choice.
• Anything to note at the scan: for example which drink they had. Staff fill it in before they confirm; leave it out if you don't need it.
• Who scans: the email address of each person on your staff who will scan.
• For a new app: who may join, and the details for your privacy notice. See Apps.

What to have ready

• A kept site with an app (an app). If you don't have one yet, your AI starts one from the ready-made café stamp card, and you switch it on yourself on a Page Lemon page. See Apps.
• Your staff's email addresses. Each person who scans signs in to Page Lemon once on the phone they will use.
• A phone with a camera for each person who scans. Nothing to install: the phone's own camera opens the code.

What happens

1. Your AI shows you the whole setup before saving: each action and what it adds, the goal ("9 for a free coffee"), how many times a day, any note at the scan, and who may scan.
2. After your yes, it saves the actions and adds a Show my code button to your users' page.
3. Your AI adds the people who scan. Each gets an email, signs in, and can scan your users and do nothing else, unless you give them more.
4. It offers a test with a test user, who never counts towards your users: you open the test user's code and scan it with your own phone. Your AI tells you the result before it says the card is ready.

Using it

1. A user signs in on your site and taps Show my code. Their counts show above the code, such as "6 of 9".
2. Staff point their phone's camera at the code and open the link. They see the user's display name, never their email, and the actions you set up.
3. Staff tap the action, check it, and tap Confirm. Nothing is added until they do. Cancel adds nothing, and Undo works for 10 seconds after a confirm.
4. For a reward, staff choose it and tap Confirm: the stamps it uses are marked as redeemed, not deleted, so the user keeps their history.

Plans

Each person who scans is one of the people on your site, counted across every site in your account.

Changing it

• Change the actions, the goal or the daily number: ask your AI, or open the Dashboard, Apps tab, Scan. A changed action keeps its count when it keeps its name.
• See every scan: the Dashboard, Apps tab, Scan, shows each scan, when, and who made it.
• Add or remove someone who scans: ask your AI, or use the site's People page and the Scan users tick. In a workspace you can make a Loyalty Manager group that can scan and do nothing else.

Good to know

• Each code works once and changes every minute, so a screenshot or a forwarded code never counts. It holds no personal details.
• Only your team can use a code. Anyone else who opens it sees nothing about the user, and the code is used up.
• The daily limit counts in your site's time zone. A second scan the same day says "Already done today".
• It doesn't connect to your till or card machine. Stamps come from a staff scan.
• Apple Wallet and Google Wallet cards are not available yet. The card lives on your own site: users open it in their phone's browser, and can add your site to their home screen to open it like an app.
