Selling subscriptions in your app

Sell a monthly or yearly membership in your mobile app and on your website, and keep one list of paying users. Whoever pays, in the App Store, on Google Play or on the web, gets the same membership on your site.

Say this to your AI

Copy into your AI chat

My app is on the App Store and Google Play. Let people buy my Plus membership in the app and on my PageLemon.com site

I use RevenueCat for my app's subscriptions. Connect it to my PageLemon.com site so buyers get access

What your AI will ask you

  • Where people buy: in the app through the stores, on your website with Stripe, or both.
  • Directly or with RevenueCat: it can connect Apple and Google itself, or take your purchases from RevenueCat, which many app makers already use.
  • Which products open which membership: for example, "Plus monthly" in the App Store and on Google Play both open your Plus membership.
  • Whether to take test purchases: off by default; you turn it on only for Apple's app review.

What to have ready

Only what your choice needs. Keys and secrets never go in the chat: your AI sends you to a Page Lemon page to paste them.

  • With Apple directly: in App Store Connect, open Users and Access, then Integrations, then In-App Purchase, and make a key. You need the key file, its key ID, the issuer ID, your app's bundle ID and its Apple ID. Then in App Information paste the notification address Page Lemon gives you.
  • With Google Play directly: in Google Cloud, make a service account and give it access in Play Console, under Users and permissions. You also need your app's package name and a Pub/Sub subscription that sends notifications to the address Page Lemon gives you.
  • With RevenueCat: your RevenueCat app's ID. Page Lemon gives you a web address and a secret to paste into RevenueCat's Webhooks settings. A RevenueCat API key is optional and makes the sync more exact.
  • With Stripe on the web: your Stripe account connected in Page Lemon. See Payments.
  • Your subscription products already made in App Store Connect and Play Console. Your app developer makes them; Page Lemon only needs their names.

What happens

  1. Your AI shows the whole setup: each store product and the membership it opens, and which way each store is connected.
  2. After your yes, it saves the products. You paste your keys on the Page Lemon page it links; they are stored sealed and never shown again.
  3. You paste the notification address (or RevenueCat's webhook) into the store, then Page Lemon checks the connection.
  4. Your app tells Page Lemon who is buying, so each purchase lands on the right signed-in user. A user who changed phones can press restore in your app to get their membership back.
  5. Your AI offers a test with a sandbox purchase and tells you the result before it says the app is ready.

Where people payIn the appIn the appOn your website
  • RevenueCat: on 1 November 2026 its public pricing page said it is free up to $2,500 of tracked revenue a month and takes 1% of tracked revenue above that. Check RevenueCat's pricing for today's terms; they are theirs, not ours.
  • The stores keep their own commission on every in-app sale, whichever way you connect them. Page Lemon adds nothing.
  • Stripe suits real-world goods and services and anything bought on your website. For digital content or features inside your app, the store rules apply: for example, Apple expects what people can reach in your app to be buyable in the app too, and link-outs to a web checkout are allowed in some countries, such as the US, with conditions. These rules change; read Apple's and Google's current guidelines or ask your app developer before you choose.

One membership, wherever it was bought

  • A purchase in any store or on the web opens the same membership on your site, with the same pages and rules.
  • If someone has bought in two places, they keep access while either one runs.
  • Your Dashboard and your AI show where each membership is managed: your account (Stripe), App Store or Google Play. Store purchases are changed, cancelled and refunded in the store, not by Page Lemon.
  • A refund or an ended subscription in the store closes access by itself.
  • No Page Lemon checkout fee on store purchases. The store's commission and any RevenueCat fee still apply.
  • Test purchases are marked as tests, never count as real sales, and open nothing unless you have turned test purchases on.

Good to know

  • Only subscriptions that renew by themselves are supported, not one-off purchases.
  • A site connects Apple and Google either directly or through RevenueCat, not both for the same store, so a purchase never arrives twice.
  • A user must be signed in to your app for a purchase to reach their membership.
