Move from another site
Bring an existing website to Page Lemon: publish the files you have, or ask your AI to rebuild the site, then point your domain at it. Keep the old site running until the new one is live.

Say this to your AI
If you have the website's files (HTML, CSS, images), open them in a code tool such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor, or attach them in your chat, and say:
Copy into your AI chat
Launch my site on PageLemon.comIf you can't download your old site, ask your AI to rebuild it from the live pages:

Rebuild my website www.maisoncafe.co.uk with the same pages and text, and launch it on pagelemon.comWhat happens
- Your AI publishes the site and gives you a
pagelemon.devlink. Your old site and domain aren't touched yet. - Check the new site page by page. Ask for any changes in plain words.
- Keep the site in your free account (the Keep it free link), so it doesn't expire after 72 hours.
- When you're happy, move your domain over (below). That's the only moment visitors switch to the new site.
Getting the files
- A site you or a developer built: you already have the files. If the project has a build step, publish the folder it produces (often
distorbuild). - A website builder with an export option: export the site as HTML and publish that folder.
- A builder with no export: ask your AI to rebuild the site from its pages, as above. Only copy content you own.
- Photos: ask your AI for an upload link and drop them in. See Change your site.
Server code (PHP, Node, Python) and databases don't run on Page Lemon. Contact forms and bookings move over as Page Lemon forms and bookings: ask your AI to replace the old ones.
Move your domain
Your domain stays registered where it is. You only change where it points.

Connect www.maisoncafe.co.uk to my site- Your AI adds the domain to your Page Lemon site and gives you a link.
- Open it, sign in at your domain company and click Connect. It points
wwwat your new site and leaves your email alone. - Your domain shows the new site, usually within minutes. Page Lemon emails you when it's live.
Some domain companies don't support one-click connect yet. Then your AI gives you the records instead: at your domain company, change the existing www record to the new CNAME and add the TXT record (two records with the same name block each other), and leave your MX records alone so your email keeps working.
Step by step: Your own domain.
After the move
- Wait until your domain shows the new site before you cancel the old one.
- Check your old links still work. If pages had different addresses before, ask your AI to add pages at the old addresses that link to the new ones.
- Download a copy of the old site first if you might need it.
