Hand a site over
Give a finished site to a client or a colleague. It moves to them with every version, its domain, and its forms and bookings with their replies. They become its Site Owner, and you can stay on to keep working on the design.

Cancel the transfer of my siteWhat your AI will ask you
- Who should get the site: the email address they sign in to Page Lemon with, or will create.
- Whether you want to stay on as a Site Developer. The default is yes. Your client has the last word, when they accept.
What to have ready
- Your client's email address.
- Nothing else. If the site has your own domain, it keeps working. The domain is still registered with the company you bought it from: to move that registration to your client, see Your own domain.
- Payment buttons on the site open Stripe Payment Links from your Stripe account, so they keep paying you after the handover: tell your client to make their own Payment Links and ask their AI to swap them in. The same goes for a payment link from another service.
What happens
- Your AI shows you what will move and what won't, then gives you a short Page Lemon link. Open it and click Approve. The link works for an hour. This is the only approval you give.
- Your client gets an email with a link and accepts by signing in. If the site fits the Free plan, they can keep it on Free. Otherwise they choose the plan it needs while accepting, and they pay Page Lemon directly. Your AI tells you first what their plan can't take.
- The site moves to them. You get an email and a notice that says whether you stayed on as a Site Developer. Until they accept, nothing changes and the site stays online. The offer lasts 14 days, and you can cancel before they accept.
- To check: ask your AI "Is the transfer done?" It tells you if the offer is waiting, accepted, declined or expired. Don't tell your client it's theirs until it says accepted.
What moves: the site and every version, its connected domains (nothing to redo in DNS), forms and bookings with all their replies, users and locked sections, the site password, and the people already on it.
What doesn't: your own API tokens and AI connections for this site end. Notification emails you set up for its forms are removed, so your client adds their own. The domain registration stays where it was bought.
Good to know
- If their plan is too small. What the plan can't hold keeps working for 14 days, then pauses. Your AI tells you which plan the site needs before you send it.
- From a workspace. The Workspace Owner can send a workspace site to anyone. Its Site Owner can send it to themselves, to take it into their own account, or to someone else in the workspace. When it leaves the workspace, the workspace's other people lose access.
- One at a time. A site can have one offer waiting. You can send up to 10 offers a day.
- Only the Site Owner can hand a site over. A Site Developer can't.
- Two accounts of your own. To move everything to one account, see Combine two accounts.
- Kept personal data. Form replies and bookings go with the site, and your client becomes responsible for them. See Privacy and your data.
