Numbers are only useful if they help you decide what to do next. A few questions owners ask:
Did my post work?
See whether visits rose after an Instagram post, a newsletter or a flyer, and which source sent the most people.
“Where did visitors come from this week?”
What do people read?
Top pages show what people come for. Put your best offer on the page they already visit.
“Which pages were viewed most this month?”
Is it growing?
Compare a period with the one before it, to see if the site is getting busier.

What’s counted
- Page views and visitorsEach page a person opens, and how many different people visited each day.
- Where people came fromThe site that sent them (Google, Instagram, a newsletter) or a campaign tag you put on your link with utm_source.
- Top pagesWhich pages were opened most.
- Countries, devices and browsersMobile, desktop or tablet, and which browser.
- Day by dayVisits per day, and a comparison with the period before.
- Bots left outKnown bots, link previews and browser prefetching aren’t counted.

Privacy-friendly by design
Visits are counted on our server as pages are delivered, so nothing is added to your site and nothing is stored in your visitors’ browsers.
- No cookiesAnalytics sets no cookies, so it adds nothing to a cookie banner.
- No script on your pagesYour site stays as fast as it was. There’s nothing to install.
- No IP addresses storedTo count different people, the shortened address and browser are turned into a code using a key that changes every day and is then thrown away. So visitors aren’t followed from one day to the next.
- Do Not Track respectedVisitors whose browser asks not to be tracked (Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control) aren’t counted.
- Raw visits deleted after 30 daysAfter that only daily totals are kept, for as long as your plan’s history.
- On every claimed siteNothing to switch on. It works from your first visitor.
