Page Lemon vs Bolt, v0 and Replit: app builder or host?
Bolt, v0 and Replit are AI app builders: you describe an app to their agent, and they write the code and run it. Page Lemon hosts what your own AI makes, with forms, booking, private pages and apps with sign-in ready-made.
We make Page Lemon, so we aren’t neutral. We say where the other tools are the better choice, and every fact about them comes from their own websites.
Deploy on PageLemon.com
Done. It’s live at yoursite.pagelemon.dev
- Page Lemon
- In the AI chat you already use
- Bolt, v0, Replit
- Chat with their own agent, inside their app, paid in tokens or credits
The short answer
All three write real code you can see and change, and run it for you. Bolt runs apps on Bolt Cloud, with a database, sign-in, file storage and server functions. v0 writes Next.js apps and publishes them to Vercel. Replit runs apps on its own servers, including always-on and scheduled ones, with a managed PostgreSQL database. Each charges for the agent’s work in tokens or credits.
Page Lemon doesn’t run your own server code. Your own AI writes the site, and Page Lemon hosts it with ready-made forms, booking, Lists, private pages and apps with sign-in. If you’re building a custom app, pick one of the three. If you need a website, or you already made one with Claude, ChatGPT, Codex or Cursor, Page Lemon is simpler.
Which one fits you
Choose an app builder if
- You’re building a custom app with its own database and logic
- You need code on a server: an API, webhooks or jobs on a schedule
- You want the agent, the code and the hosting in one place
- A developer will take the code into GitHub later
Choose Page Lemon if
- You need a website, not a custom app
- You already made a site with Claude, ChatGPT, Codex or Cursor
- You want forms, booking, private pages or an app with sign-in ready-made
- You’d rather pay a flat plan price than for tokens or credits
How the three differ
If you do need an app builder, these are the differences that matter.
| Topic | Bolt | v0 | Replit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best at | Full apps from a chat, with the backend on Bolt Cloud. | Next.js apps for teams on Vercel, from a prompt, a screenshot or a Figma file. | Apps that need a server running: always on, scaling with use, or on a schedule. |
| Backend | Bolt Database, with email and Google sign-in, file storage and server functions. | Connect databases, AI models and outside APIs. | A managed PostgreSQL database, and Replit Auth for sign-in. |
| Publishing | Hosting on Bolt. Your own domain without Bolt branding from Pro. | One click to Vercel, or a pull request when the project is on GitHub. | Static, Autoscale, Reserved VM or Scheduled, with custom domains. |
| Free plan | A monthly and a daily token limit. Bolt branding on sites. | A daily message limit, with no team features. | One published app, with a “Made with Replit” badge, and its link goes down after a set time. |
| Paying for AI | Tokens. Teams is priced per member. | Credits. Plus and Business are priced per user, and generation pauses when credits run out. | Core and Pro, with monthly credits. |
| Working as a team | Teams adds central billing, access management and admin controls. | Shared projects and a shared credit pool on Plus and Business. | Collaborators and viewers on Pro. |
| Your code | Version history to roll back, and a GitHub connection. | Two-way GitHub sync, or export the code to work on it yourself. | Not listed on the pages we checked. |
Sources, checked on 21 October 2026. Bolt: bolt.new/pricing and support.bolt.new (Bolt Database, publishing, version history and GitHub). v0: v0.app/docs (overview, pricing and FAQs). Replit: replit.com/pricing and docs.replit.com (Starter plan, deployments, SQL database, Replit Auth and the Claude connector). “Not listed” means we couldn’t find it there, not that it can’t be done.
Build there, publish here, or use both
Page Lemon publishes files as they are: it doesn’t run a build step or server code. So what can move depends on what your project needs to run.
From Bolt
Connect the project to GitHub, ask a coding AI such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor to build it, then say “Deploy on PageLemon.com”. Anything that relies on Bolt Database, sign-in or server functions stays on Bolt Cloud, or your AI swaps it for Page Lemon features.
From v0
Export the code or take it from GitHub. A project that builds to plain pages can be published here. One that uses Next.js server features needs a host that runs them, such as Vercel.
From Replit
Replit’s Static deployments are the kind of site Page Lemon hosts too. Autoscale, Reserved VM and Scheduled apps run code on a server, so they stay on Replit.
Both: the app there, the website here
Many products need both: the app where it runs, and a website that explains it, takes sign-ups and has a blog. Keep the app on its builder and put the website on Page Lemon, changed from your own AI chat.
Page Lemon and the app builders, side by side
| Topic | Bolt, v0, Replit | |
|---|---|---|
| Who writes the code | The AI you already use: Claude, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor or another AI app. | Their own agent. Replit can also take requests from Claude and ChatGPT, and passes them to Replit Agent. |
| What it runs | Your site’s files, plus Page Lemon’s own forms, booking, Lists and apps with sign-in, which run on Page Lemon’s servers. Not your own server code or database. | Full apps with a backend, built for your project. |
| Forms, booking and private pages | Ready-made, added by asking your AI. Forms and booking on every paid plan; a passcode on every plan. | The agent builds each one into your app’s code. |
| Users and sign-in | Apps with sign-in from our templates, such as a client portal or a club. Users sign in with an email code and see only their own records. Paid memberships on App and up, paid to your own Stripe account. | Any sign-in you design, on their backend or one you connect. |
| Selling online | Buy buttons through your own Stripe Payment Links on every paid plan, no Page Lemon fee. Paid memberships on App and up, paid to your own Stripe account. Or a small shop with stock and shipping (Page Lemon Checkout), on every paid plan. | Whatever the agent builds into your app. |
| Paying for AI | No AI credits. Several people can edit on every paid plan, for one flat price. See plans. | Tokens or credits. Team plans are priced per member or per user on Bolt and v0. |
| Taking your site elsewhere | Download the whole site as a .zip from the app any time. Lists export as CSV and JSON. | The code goes to GitHub or downloads. Apps with a backend need a host that runs one. |
Questions
More answers in the help center.
Replit works in Claude and ChatGPT too. What’s the difference?
Replit’s connector passes your request to Replit Agent, which builds and publishes a Replit app. With Page Lemon, the AI you’re talking to writes the site itself, and Page Lemon puts it online.
Can I move my project to Page Lemon?
If it builds to plain files that run in the browser, yes: ask a coding AI to build it and publish the result. Server code, a database or sign-in stay where they run, or your AI can swap them for Page Lemon forms, Lists or an app with sign-in.
Can Page Lemon build an app with logins?
An app with sign-in, yes, started from our templates: a client portal, a club, a stamp card or a tracker. Page Lemon’s servers handle sign-in and keep each user’s records private. For anything those templates don’t cover, an app builder does more.
