Common Acre brand identity and garden consultancy website presentation
Common Acre / Brand languageA clearer foundation

The starting point

Good work.
A tangled story.

Common Acre had grown from one gardener into a small consultancy. Its language had not caught up.

Partners Ivo Reed and Nell Cress offered design, planting advice and ongoing care, but the website read like three separate businesses. We needed one clear promise, with useful distinctions underneath.

A change in emphasis

From the offer
to the person.

The old line described a service. The new one gives the reader a reason to care. Open the edit to see the shift.

Before the edit

“Comprehensive horticultural consultancy and outdoor design.”

Read the new opening
“Good gardens.
Real life.”A place for muddy boots, summer lunches and things that grow.

The voice principles

Knowledgeable.
Never grand.

Use the everyday word. Explain the useful detail. Leave room for the reader’s own idea of a good garden.

We tested each principle on a real task: a service page, a first-enquiry email and a seasonal care note. A voice guide should help someone write on a Tuesday.

The handover

Ready to use.

The result

One story.
Room to grow.

A consistent way to explain the practice, from homepage to first reply.

The finished language brings design, advice and care under one idea. The team has examples to refer to and enough room to sound like themselves.
