for retros, planning days and workshops

One shared wall for every remote workshop.

Muster is a multiplayer whiteboard. Your whole team writes, sorts and votes on sticky notes together, with a timer and a facilitator who can bring everyone back to the same spot.

Onboarding takes three weeks

Ama

Too many status calls, not enough doing

Tomasz

Nobody owns the API docs

Jun

Pair every new starter for week one

Priya

Async Monday update, no call

Docs rota: one named owner a month

Drag any note, or focus one and use the arrow keys. Everyone sees it move.

Workshops this week at

how a session runs

Spill, sort, settle. Ninety minutes, not a week of threads.

Every Muster template follows the same three moves, so people who have never used it know where to look.

Frame 1

Spill

Everyone writes on their own for five minutes. Notes stay private until the facilitator reveals them, so nobody anchors on the loudest idea.

Frame 2

Sort

Drag notes into clusters together and name each one. Muster draws a loose loop around a group as soon as three notes touch.

Frame 3

Settle

Three votes each, counted when the timer ends. The top cluster gets an owner and a date before anyone leaves the call.

the whole room, on one screen

Built for the person running the session.

Facilitators get the controls a good room gives you: a clock on the wall, a way to call everyone over and a quiet moment to think.

Follow me

One click and every screen jumps to the frame you are on. No more “which bit are we looking at?”

Private writing

Notes are blurred for others until you press Reveal. Quiet people write as much as loud ones.

Wrap-up page

Muster turns the top clusters, owners and dates into a short summary you can paste anywhere.

the facilitator's kit

Everything on the wall, nothing in a menu.

A timer everyone can see

Set five minutes for writing. It sits on the board, turns coral at the last thirty seconds and plays a soft chime.

Dot voting

Hand out three, five or ten votes. Totals stay hidden until the round closes.

Private mode

Write alone, reveal together.

Follow the facilitator

Bring 40 people to the same frame at once.

Breakout frames

Split the board into groups of four, each with its own frame and timer. When time is up, one button pulls everyone back to the main wall.

Send actions on

Owners and due dates go straight to your task tool, chat channel or doc. See integrations.

What facilitators say

Our quarterly planning used to be two days in a hired room. Now it is one afternoon on Muster, and the notes are still there in March when someone asks why we chose what we chose.

The private writing round changed our retros. The new starters finally say what they think.
