Running a session
Do guests need an account?
No. Send the board link and guests join from their browser with just a display name. They can write, move notes and vote, but they cannot create boards or change templates.
How many people can work on one board?
Up to 15 live at once on Scribble, 60 on Studio and 150 on Assembly. Bigger events usually split into breakout frames and come back to the main wall to vote.
Can people write without seeing each other's notes?
Yes. Turn on private writing and every note stays blurred for others until the facilitator presses Reveal, so nobody anchors on the first idea.
Does it work on a tablet or phone?
Guests can write and vote from any current browser on a phone or tablet. Facilitating is easier on a laptop, where the timer, frame list and follow me sit side by side.
Boards and data
Where are our boards stored?
On servers in the UK and the EU, encrypted in transit and at rest. On Assembly, everything stays in the UK.
Can we take our boards with us?
Yes. Export any board as an image or PDF, or download every note as a CSV with its author, cluster and votes.
Who can see a board?
Only people with the link while a session runs. Afterwards an editor can lock the board to your team, or turn the link off.
What happens to our boards if we close the account?
You keep read access for 30 days after closing the account, so you can export everything. After that we delete the boards and their history.
Plans and billing
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Scribble is free for good, with three active boards, up to five editors and unlimited guests. See pricing for the paid plans.
Can we change plans part way through a month?
Yes. Upgrades start straight away and we charge only for the rest of the month. Downgrades take effect at the next bill.
Do you send VAT invoices?
Yes. Each bill comes with a VAT invoice by email, and editors on Studio and Assembly can download past invoices from the billing page.
