THE MAKERS

Two people.
One unfinished
sentence.

We’re building the little tool we wanted after our own meetings. Useful enough to keep. Small enough to leave alone.

A working document. Open to better ideas.

THE STARTING POINT

“We agreed it in the meeting” shouldn’t be the beginning of an argument.

Tallynote started at a shared desk on 14 Proof Lane, Brambleford, BF3 7DN. One of us designs software. One of us builds it. Both of us had lost good decisions in hurried notes. We’re trying to make the write-up shorter without making it less careful.

Ada Penn

CO-FOUNDER / PRODUCT DESIGN

Ada works on what the draft says, what it leaves out and where a person should step in. She keeps a paper notebook and refuses to call an unanswered question a decision.

Ravi Dey

CO-FOUNDER / SOFTWARE

Ravi builds the path from voice to draft. He cares about the awkward bits: a surname, a pause, a sentence someone changes halfway through. His own voice notes are a useful stress test.

AN OPEN NOTE / FROM THE FOUNDERS

We’ll show our workings.

We won’t sell a finished product before there is one. We’ll share the decisions as we make them, ask for criticism and publish clear prices before asking anyone to pay.

Something unclear? Write us a short note. We read them ourselves.
