Who did what.

Field lead / MSc Environmental Science

Nia Aldersey

Nia developed the paired field protocol and kept the site notebook. Her work asks how everyday streets can be studied at the scale of a walk.

  • Route selection and canopy estimates
  • Sensor checks and field coordination
  • Methods draft and site diagrams

Analysis lead / MSc Environmental Science

Owen Rill

Owen organised the observation files and built the figures. He is interested in making small datasets readable without making their claims larger.

  • Data checks and paired summaries
  • Figure design and resource files
  • Results draft and reproducibility notes

Supervision

Dr Elin Voss

Lecturer in Urban Environmental Systems

Elin advised on sampling design, measurement uncertainty and the distinction between an association and a causal claim. The students retained responsibility for the field record, analysis and final text.
