Privacy notice

Template: fill in every highlighted blank before clients use this site. This is a starting point, not legal advice.

Who is responsible

[Business name], [address], decides how your information is used (the controller). Page Lemon hosts this site, runs the sign-in and stores tickets, screenshots and updates for us as our processor.

What we collect

  • Your email address, to invite you and sign you in.
  • The tickets you raise: what's wrong, the area, how urgent it is and your details.
  • Screenshots or photos you upload. A screenshot can show other things on your screen, so crop it to the problem if you can.
  • The updates we post for you: date, ticket, stage, our note and any visit date.
  • Sign-in records (when and from which browser), to keep your account safe.

We never ask you to put sign-in details, card, bank or ID numbers in a ticket; please leave them out. If we need access to a device, we arrange it with you by phone.

Why

To fix what you asked us to fix and keep a record of the work ([legal basis, for example: our support contract with your business]).

Who sees it

You see only your own tickets and updates. [Who at the business sees them, for example: the owner, and any technician covering holidays].

How long we keep it

[For example: tickets for 2 years after they are closed; invoices for 6 years, as UK tax rules require]. When you leave, your tickets and screenshots are deleted, except records we must keep by law, which we tell you about.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object. Write to [privacy email]. You can also complain to [your data protection authority, for example the ICO in the UK].
