About me
I’m Ines. I used to teach thirty at a time.
After eleven years as a secondary physics teacher, I wanted time for the pupil at the back who never put a hand up. Now that’s the whole job.
I tutor maths and physics from my study room on Station Parade and online. I keep my week small, so I know every pupil’s last test and next deadline.
Checks and training
The things parents ask about first
Enhanced DBS
On the update service. I’ll show you the certificate at the first chat.
PGCE and physics degree
Qualified teacher status, with eleven years in classrooms.
Safeguarding
Door open in person. For online lessons with under-16s, an adult stays at home. No recordings without your yes.
Exam experience
I’ve taught every year from 7 to 13 and marked mock papers for years.
Where we work
The study room, or your kitchen table
The study room
First floor above the bakery on Station Parade, two minutes from the station. One wide desk, good light, a kettle for parents who wait.
Online
A video call and a shared whiteboard we both write on. A link arrives the day before. A tablet and pen help, but aren’t needed.
Parents and pupils
In their words
“Femi went from a 4 to a 7 in maths. Ines never once made him feel slow, and she told us honestly what to expect.”
“Moments finally made sense when she drew them on squared paper with a ruler. I got an A in physics.”
“The Saturday group is small and calm. Our daughter actually asks to go, which says it all.”
