Maths & physics tutor
Maths and physics tutoring in Pellingham, one pupil at a time.
I taught physics in secondary schools for eleven years. Now I teach at a desk, not a whiteboard: GCSE, A level, KS3 and 11+, in my study room or online.
- Enhanced DBS
- PGCE, physics degree
- Groups of four at most

What I teach, and to whom
How a lesson feels
One step at a time, written down
Every lesson starts with something your child got stuck on this week. We work it through on paper, one line at a time, until they can do the next one alone. Try it.
Solve 3x + 7 = 25
Step 1
Take 7 from both sides: 3x = 18
Show step 2
Divide both sides by 3: x = 6
Show step 3
Check it: 3 × 6 + 7 = 25
Pupils keep their own sheet of these. It becomes their revision book.
How it starts
Three steps to a first lesson
A free 20-minute chat
You, your child and me, in person or on a video call. What’s hard, what’s coming up, what you hope for.
A first lesson
Sixty minutes on one real problem from school. You get a short note afterwards on what we covered.
A plan to the exam
A weekly slot and a simple plan to the next mock or exam, reviewed every half term.

What families say
“Femi went from a 4 to a 7 in maths. Ines never once made him feel slow, and she told us honestly what to expect.”
“Moments finally made sense when she drew them on squared paper with a ruler. I got an A in physics.”
“The Saturday group is small and calm. Our daughter actually asks to go, which says it all.”
Next step
Start with a free chat
Twenty minutes, no obligation. We’ll know quickly whether I’m the right tutor.
