Donate

Give food or money. Both go into parcels.

Drop-offs go in the box at the hall door on opening days. Money goes online, and we publish where every pound was spent.

Donated tins and packets lined up on a shelf

What your money buys

£5

Two tins, a packet of pasta and a bag of rice for a single person.

£10

The basics for one parcel, enough for about three days for one adult.

£25

A week of food for a household of three, including fresh food from local shops.

Set up a monthly gift so we can plan ahead. Monthly gifts keep the shelves full between food drives.

Drop off food

Put tins and packets in the box at the hall door on any opening day. Please check best-before dates first, and leave glass jars at home.

See what we need this week

  • Long-life milk, tinned fish, beans and tomatoes.
  • Porridge oats, cereal, pasta and rice.
  • Toiletries, nappies and baby food, which always go fast.
  • Not accepted: opened packets, homemade food, or glass jars.

Where the money goes

From last year's accounts. Our trustees check these every quarter and the full report is on request.

Hall rent and running costs7%

Running costs went up by 14% last year, because the hall rent rose. We are looking at this with the hall's trustees.

Give as a group

Run a food drive at your workplace, school or faith group. We will send collection boxes, a list of what to bring and a volunteer to collect.

Food drive enquiries: email help@example.com or call 01632 960 318.

A tin in the box is a parcel on the table.
