Care and shipping
Looking after stoneware, and getting it to you whole.
A few habits make stoneware last for decades. Packing and delivery are handled as carefully as the throwing.
Everyday care
- Hand wash in warm water, or use a dishwasher on a gentle cycle.
- Let pieces warm up gradually. Move from the fridge to the oven, or from cold water to hot, slowly.
- Cobalt, ash and tenmoku glazes are all tested for food contact. Ask if you need the test reports.
- Keep the unglazed foot clear of rough surfaces, so it does not scratch the table.
UK delivery
| Service | Time | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Standard, one piece | 3 to 5 working days | £6.50 |
| Sets and large pieces | 5 to 7 working days | £12.00 |
| Collection from the studio | By appointment | Free |
Every piece is wrapped in paper and packed in a double-walled box, with the space filled. Sets ship in separate boxes, so one breakage does not take a whole dinner service with it.
