Applicant privacy notice
This notice explains what happens to the details you send us when you apply for a job at Tidewater Labs.
Who we are
Tidewater Labs, 5 Gantry Wharf, Selbury Docks QX9 1PT, is responsible for your application. Ama Rosenthal-Kwarteng, our Head of People, looks after applicant data. Write to careers@tidewaterlabs.example.com or call 01632 960 853.
What we keep
When you apply we keep:
- your name, email address and phone number, if you give one;
- the link to your CV or LinkedIn profile, and any portfolio or GitHub link you send, or the CV itself if you email it;
- your answers on the form, including why you want the role and whether you have the right to work in the UK;
- notes from your intro call, the paid task and the final conversation.
We do not ask for your date of birth, nationality, ID numbers, or health information, and please do not send them.
Why we use it
We use these details to assess your application, arrange interviews and tasks, and check your right to work before any offer. We do not use them for marketing, and we do not sell them.
We rely on our legitimate interest in recruiting for the role you applied for, and, before an offer, on our legal duty to check your right to work.
How long we keep it
We keep an application for six months from the date we decide on the role. After six months we delete it, including any CV you emailed us and the notes from your interviews. If you accept an offer, the details you need for your employment move to your employee record, and the rest is deleted at the same time.
You can ask us to delete your application sooner at any time.
Who sees it
Only the hiring team for the role, and Ama Rosenthal-Kwarteng. We do not share applications with other companies. If we open a CV link to read it, we do not download a copy to keep.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it before the six months are up, or withdraw your application. Email careers@tidewaterlabs.example.com and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Cookies and this website
The website itself sets no cookies and collects no personal data on its own. The pages load their fonts from Google Fonts, which sees your browser's address when a page opens.
When you send an application through the form, your answers go to our hiring team so they can review it. They are kept for six months as set out above, then deleted.
