Church bell ringers · St Cuthwin's, Little Kestle

Eight bells, rung every week since 1871

The Kestle Guild rings the bells of St Cuthwin's for Sunday services, weddings and quarter peals, and teaches anyone who wants to learn. You do not need to read music or to have rung before.

Eight numbered gold bells hung in a dark oak frame above a brick floor, the third swung mouth-up, with rings of sound behind them

Quarter peal of Grandsire Triples in 41 minutes

Seven ringers rang 1,260 changes on the first Saturday of the month. Two of them had been learning for six weeks, and nobody dropped a bell.

The tenor sits true again after the summer

The heaviest bell was rehung in its frame. The bell fund paid for the work, and the thanks go to the ringers who climbed the tower to watch it done.
