The reason for the night

Every ticket pays for the room, and the room pays for the youth work.

Halden Street Youth Trust runs three evenings a week for young people in Stillbridge: homework club, a music room and a kitchen where teenagers cook for their families. The Ball is the one night a year it asks its neighbours to pay for the lights.

From last year

“We came for the auction and stayed for the speeches. The room was full of people who wanted the Youth Club to still be there next year.”
