Find a dog, cat or rabbit a home that lasts.

Since 2011 we have taken in 1,184 animals. Most go home within six weeks of meeting their match, and each one leaves neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

How adoption works

Meet the animal first. We ask about your home and routine, and we only match when both sides say yes.

  1. Meet them

Visit by appointment or book a meet-and-greet with the animal's foster carer. Bring everyone who will live in the home.

  2. Check the match

A short home check, a chat about routines, and a note on any other pets. Most checks take one visit.

  3. Take them home

Adoption fee £85 covers vaccines, microchip and neutering. Free support for the first month.

Homes that stuck

“We came for a calm dog and left with a shadow. Juno has never once looked back.”

Priya and Sam, Hobcombe Vale

“Toffee had been in three homes before us. The team kept checking in and it showed.”

Dana, a first-time cat owner

“Our foster rabbit went home in five weeks. We cried in the car, and we are fostering again.”

Owen, foster carer since 2024

Juno is waiting. Come and meet her this Saturday.

Walks start at 11:00 from the yard gate. No booking needed for a walk, and we will pair you up with the right dog.

Visit the yard

We are at the end of the yard, past the old mill. Follow the signs for the rescue and park in the bays marked Visitors.
