Send four lines: the story, why it matters now, who it is for, and the length you think it needs. I reply within five working days, and I say no kindly when a story is already covered.

What I do not take
Pitches for product launches, sponsored features, or stories that need me to write about a brand I have not heard of. I also do not take unsolicited manuscripts or book proposals.
If your story is already in another outlet, say so. I will still read it, but I will not write the same story twice.
