the beginning of forever
The Palm House · Lark Hollow
Three o’clock in the afternoon
In the autumn of 2019, we both boarded the train to Wrenford. Neither of us was meant to be on it. One shared packet of biscuits and a very long conversation later, we missed our stop.
Since then: a first flat with terrible plumbing, Sunday walks in every kind of weather, a cat called Fig, and a question asked on our favourite stretch of coast.
Now, the best part. A day with all of you.
Elodie & JulianA Victorian glasshouse, a walled garden,
and room for one very good party.
48 Orchard Lane, Lark Hollow
North Wessex, NW4 8QJ
Ceremony in the glasshouse.
Dinner beneath the vines.
Dancing until the lights come on.
No rushing. No watching the clock.
Just a day we’ll wish lasted longer.
Find a familiar face, a glass of elderflower, and your seat in the glasshouse.
The reason we’re all here. Tissues encouraged. Phones tucked away, please.
Something sparkling, little things to eat, and a photograph or two.
Summer plates, very good wine, and speeches from our favourite people.
First dance, then everyone. Late-night toasties at ten. Carriages at midnight.
We’ve saved a few rooms nearby.
Book before 1 April and mention
“Lisle–Ravell wedding”.
Eight quiet rooms, a proper breakfast, and a five-minute walk home.
For the pub-lovers. Cosy doubles upstairs and the best chips in Lark Hollow.
Lark Hollow station is 12 minutes away by taxi. Our shuttle leaves the station at 1:45 and 2:15 pm.
Follow signs for Orchard Lane. There’s free parking beside the walled garden; cars can stay overnight.
A return shuttle runs at 11 pm and midnight. Tell us in your RSVP if you’d like a seat.

Garden-party formal. Think summer suits, dresses you can dance in, and a layer for later. The garden paths are gravel, so wide heels will thank you.
We love your little people. For this celebration, we’re keeping the guest list to adults, with the exception of our nieces and nephews in the wedding party.
We’ll share a seasonal, family-style feast, with a vegetarian menu alongside. Add any dietary requirements to your RSVP so our kitchen can look after you.
Having you here is our favourite gift. If you’d like to give something, a contribution to our first adventure as a married couple would be lovely. We’ll have a card box on the day.
The glasshouse, dinner space and toilets have step-free access. Part of the garden is gravel. Let us know what would make your day more comfortable and we’ll arrange it with the venue.
The day won’t be the same without you
For the vows. For the cake.
For the last song of the night.
