Mina puts this in everyone’s hands
The Orchard
at the End
“Three sisters, one stubborn orchard, and the things a family never says out loud. I missed these people when it ended.”
A book for the train.
A book for the rain.
A book that stays with you.
Ch. I The browsing shelf
Pull out a spine.
Meet a bookseller’s favourite.
Mina puts this in everyone’s hands
“Three sisters, one stubborn orchard, and the things a family never says out loud. I missed these people when it ended.”
A favourite of our resident wanderer, Kit
“A beautiful argument for taking the long way home. There’s a whole chapter about a bench. Somehow, it’s wonderful.”
Dev stayed up much too late with this
“An island cut off for the winter. A letter addressed to someone who vanished. Cancel your evening plans.”
Mina’s copy is covered in flour
“For the sort of cooking that starts with opening the back door. The leek pie alone is worth a place on your shelf.”
Kit reads a page before opening up
“Small poems with room to breathe. They make familiar things feel strange, then hand them back to you, brighter.”
Ch. II A note from the shop
We opened Vellum in an old dressmaker’s shop, with 800 books, two mismatched chairs, and a very optimistic kettle.
Today there are a few more books. The chairs are still here. So is the belief that a good bookshop should send you home more curious than when you arrived.
We read what we sell. We remember what you loved. And we will always make room for a voice you haven’t heard before.
