Every child known by name, from the first gate bell

Everyone knows everyone here. We teach reading first, play outside every day and keep the front gate open at 8:35 so mornings stay calm.

What a day here looks like

Reading first

Every child reads aloud to an adult each week, from the first Reception phonics lesson to the Year 6 class novel.

Outside every day

Two playgrounds, a garden with raised beds and a field. Wet weather means waterproofs, not staying in.

Three raised vegetable beds, a watering can and a row of flowerpots

Clubs for most evenings

Chess, choir, football, gardening and art, most of them free. See this term's clubs.

A note from the headteacher

We are small on purpose. Every adult in the building knows every child, and every family knows where to find us. Come and see for yourself.
