Ninety Covers

A six-minute brand film for Pell & Co. Kitchens, shot through one Friday service and cut for the menu launch.

The brief

One service, two cameras, no retakes.

The brief was simple: show the pass as it is, not as a staged set. We shot the whole Friday service from 6pm to midnight, then cut it down to the moments the cooks would recognise.

Coverage

  • The passPlates are checked, called and sent in the same breath. Shot from behind the line, handheld.
  • Slow handsHigh frame rate on the plating, which took about forty seconds a dish.
  • Quiet roomThe last twenty minutes, after the final covers, with sound only from the extractor fan.
