For beta testers
Privacy notice
Template: fill in every highlighted blank before testers use the portal. This is a starting point, not legal advice.
Who is responsible
Ledgerline, 3 Counting House Yard, Mintbury QP6 2XA, decides how your information is used. Page Lemon hosts the beta portal, runs the sign-in and stores what testers send for us as our processor. The beta is free while it runs, so the portal takes no payments.
What we collect
- Your email address, to sign you in and to send the waitlist and beta emails.
- The name, company and role you gave when you asked to join.
- The feature requests and bug reports you send, including the area, the details and any screenshot.
- Your votes on roadmap items, with the priority and the reason you give.
- What we add to your reports: the status (Received, Planned, In progress, Shipped or Not planned) and our replies. We email you when they change.
- Sign-in records (when and from which browser), to keep your account safe.
Screenshots and client data
Before you upload a screenshot, cover client names, amounts and any account details. Do not send anyone else's personal data in a request. The portal does not ask for bank account, card, passport or other ID numbers, and you should not add them to a request or a screenshot.
Why
To run the beta, answer your requests and plan the roadmap ([legal basis, for example: our legitimate interest in running the beta]).
Who sees it
You see only your own reports and votes. The founders read them to plan the roadmap. The roadmap and release notes never show another tester's report or vote.
How long we keep it
[For example: requests and votes for 24 months after the beta ends, or until you ask us to delete them]. When you leave the beta, your profile, requests, votes and screenshots are deleted, except records we must keep by law.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object. Write to beta@ledgerline.example.com. You can also complain to [your data protection authority, for example the ICO in the UK].
