About

Drawings, prints and one very old riso machine

I grew up above a bakery on Mill Lane and still draw like it: warm kitchens, late gardens, people working while everyone else sleeps. Since 2019 I have printed it all myself in a shared studio off Glover’s Yard.

How a print gets made

  1. Roughs

Pencil on cheap paper until the shapes sit right. Usually a week of evenings.

  2. Layers

One drawing per ink, drawn in black and registered by eye on the lightbox.

  3. Printing

Two or three drums, a few hundred passes, and a pile of happy misprints.
