## From the shop window to being found locally

Shops and trades each take a different path, so the moments say which. Start with whichever is yours.

1. **Opening: Your shop needs a window before the first customer walks past** This season’s bouquets, or this month’s candles and mugs, each with a photo and a price, and a form to ask for one. Customers send an order request; you reply to confirm and take payment your usual way.
   - You type: `Build with PageLemon.com: a site for my flower shop, with this season’s bouquets and prices and an order request form for collection or delivery`
   - Your AI: Live at bramble-lane.pagelemon.dev. The bouquets are a list you can change by asking, and a test request is on its way to your inbox.
   - Later: "The peony bouquet is sold out until June": The list says sold out, with the date it’s back.
   - Later: "We’re at the Saturday market. Put it on the home page": A short notice appears on the home page.
   - Cost: Paid plan (for the order request form; showing your products alone works on Free)
   - Example: the Stem template (https://pagelemon.com/tp/Stem)
   - Guide: https://pagelemon.com/use-cases/maker-orders
2. **The first missed call: You can’t answer the phone under a sink** Your number stays big on every page, and for the callers you miss there’s a quote form that asks what you’d ask: the job, the postcode, how soon. Each request lands in your email, so you can price it at the end of the day.
   - You type: `Build with PageLemon.com: a site for my plumbing business, with the areas I cover and a quote request form`
   - Your AI: Live at plumb-and-co.pagelemon.dev. A test quote request is in your inbox, so you can see what arrives.
   - Later: "Ask for a link to photos of the job on the quote form": The form gets a question for a link to a shared folder or album. Forms don’t take file uploads.
   - Later: "Show me last month’s quote requests from Merefold": Your AI finds them and sums them up. They’re also a private list you can export as a spreadsheet.
   - Cost: Paid plan (for the quote form)
   - Example: the Plumb template (https://pagelemon.com/tp/Plumb)
   - Guide: https://pagelemon.com/use-cases/trades-quotes
3. **This week’s sales: Some things people should be able to just buy** For a gift voucher, a workshop place or a set price, add a Buy button. It opens a Payment Link from your own Stripe account, or Page Lemon Checkout, which counts your stock down and charges shipping. The buyer pays on Stripe’s page, and the money goes to your Stripe account. Anything made to order stays an order request.
   - You type: `Add a Buy button to my shop page for the stoneware mug, £34. Here’s my Stripe link: buy.stripe.com/example-mug`
   - Your AI: Done. The mug now has a Buy button that opens your Stripe link. The serving plate keeps its order request.
   - Later: "Add a £50 gift voucher with a Buy button": A voucher button joins the shop page, using the Payment Link you made in Stripe.
   - Later: "Put the vase back to ‘ask about this piece’": The Buy button comes off, and the order request link goes back.
   - Cost: Paid plan (Buy buttons and Checkout come with every paid plan; Checkout adds a Page Lemon fee on top of Stripe’s own)
   - Example: the Kiln template (https://pagelemon.com/tp/Kiln)
4. **After the job: The work you’ve done should be easy to see, and the reviews real** Before-and-after photos of recent jobs, and a reviews page with what customers actually said, used with their permission. Add each one as it comes in, and link to your Google reviews so people can check.
   - You type: `Add a projects page with before and after photos of my last three kitchens. I’ll upload the photos`
   - Your AI: Here’s an upload link for the photos. Once they’re in, the projects page is live, each job with its before and after.
   - Later: "Add this review from Mrs Ahmed, word for word, with her OK": It joins the reviews page, in her words.
   - Later: "Add a ‘Leave a review’ link to the thank-you message after a quote request": The link is added, using your Google review link.
   - Cost: Free
   - Example: the Joist template (https://pagelemon.com/tp/Joist)
5. **Being found: People nearby search for what you do and where** A page for each service, the towns you cover and your business details are the parts of your site that help, along with your Google Business Profile. Your AI checks the pages and tells you what only you can do next.
   - You type: `Make my site show up when people search for a plumber in Merefold`
   - Your AI: I’ve checked every page, added a page for each service and your areas, and I’ll show you the changes before I publish. Next: your Google Business Profile.
   - Later: "Add Ashby and Thornley to the areas we cover": The areas page and the form’s postcode note are updated.
   - Later: "How many people visited this week?": Your AI tells you, from your site’s visits. No cookies, no tracking script.
   - Cost: Free (on Free, a new site is hidden from search for its first 7 days)
   - Example: the Plumb template (https://pagelemon.com/tp/Plumb)
6. **Growing: The business grows, and the site keeps up** Put the site on the name your van or your shop sign already says, and let your partner or a member of staff change it from their own AI too. Every change is a saved version you can go back to.
   - You type: `Put my site on bramblelane.co.uk`
   - Your AI: Here’s a link that shows each step at your domain company. Then the site moves to bramblelane.co.uk.
   - Later: "Let my partner Sam edit the site too": Sam gets an invite and edits from their own AI.
   - Later: "Go back to yesterday’s version": The site is as it was yesterday. Going back takes one sentence.
   - Cost: Paid plan (for your own domain and people editing with you)
   - Example: the Stem template (https://pagelemon.com/tp/Stem)

## What it replaces

- Today: Orders in texts, DMs and phone calls, with half the details missing. With Page Lemon: One order request form that asks for the date and size, and arrives in your email.
- Today: A price list as a PDF or an Instagram post that’s out of date by Friday. With Page Lemon: A list of products and prices you change by asking, live in seconds.
- Today: Missed calls on a job, from people who never leave a message. With Page Lemon: A quote form that asks what you’d ask, with your number big beside it.
- Today: Job photos in your camera roll and reviews on one platform. With Page Lemon: A projects page and a reviews page, with a link to your Google reviews.
- Today: A site someone else built, that you have to email to change. With Page Lemon: You say the change to your AI, and it’s on the site.

## When Page Lemon isn’t for you

- You need a basket and shipping labels. Page Lemon Checkout counts stock and charges shipping, but each order is one product, and labels are up to you. A dedicated online shop platform suits you better.
- You want customers to attach photos to a quote request. Forms don’t take file uploads: ask for a link to a shared album, or have them reply to your email with photos.
- You want to drag boxes around yourself. Page Lemon works by asking your AI, so a drag-and-drop builder suits you better.
- You need to take payment for a quote or deposit inside the form. Forms never take card details; send a Payment Link from your own Stripe account after you’ve agreed the job.

## Questions

**Can customers pay on my site, or only send a request?**
Both. A form sends you an order or quote request, and you confirm and take payment your usual way. On a paid plan your AI can also add Buy buttons that open Payment Links from your own Stripe account, or a small shop with Page Lemon Checkout, with stock that counts down and order emails. The money goes to your Stripe account. See [Payments](https://pagelemon.com/features/payments).

**Can I sell gift vouchers?**
Yes, on a paid plan, with a Buy button that opens a Payment Link you make in your own Stripe account. Stripe lists each sale; keeping track of which vouchers are spent is up to you.

**Can customers send photos of the job?**
Not through the form: forms take text, choices, dates and numbers. Ask for a link to a shared album, or say “reply to this email with photos” on the quote page.

**What do I get when someone sends a request?**
An email straight away, with every answer under its question. Hit reply to write back, or call the number they gave. Each request is also kept in the Page Lemon app, as a private list you can export.

**Can I show reviews?**
You can quote reviews customers have given you, with their permission, written as they said them. Link to your Google reviews too, so people can check. Page Lemon never writes reviews for you.

**Does it track my stock?**
Not automatically. Tell your AI when something sells out or comes back, and the page changes.

**Will people find me on Google?**
A clear page for each service and the areas you cover help most, along with your Google Business Profile. On a paid plan a new site can be listed straight away; on Free it waits 7 days. [Getting found](https://pagelemon.com/docs/seo) explains the rest.

**Can I change prices or areas from my phone?**
Yes. Tell your AI in its chat app on your phone, for example “Add Wood Green to the areas”, and the site updates in seconds.

**Will spam fill my inbox?**
Simple spam is dropped before it reaches you, and a human check switches on if a form starts getting it.

**Do I need a paid AI?**
Claude, ChatGPT and other AI chats connect once, in about 2 minutes; ChatGPT needs one of its paid plans to connect on the web. Without that, copy the code your AI made and [paste it on pagelemon.com/publish](https://pagelemon.com/publish), no account needed. See [how to connect](https://pagelemon.com/docs/connect).
