weft Request access

Public beta · API platform

Turn your schema into a live API in one command.

Weft reads your OpenAPI file or your TypeScript types, then serves typed endpoints, hosted docs and a client SDK from the same source. Every push deploys. Every deploy rolls back in one click.

Median response time over the last 30 days: 38 ms across 4 regions.

$ weft init --from openapi.yaml✓ 14 operations read✓ Typed SDK written to ./sdk (3 files)$ weft deploy --env production→ Building for 4 regions✓ Live at https://api.example.com/v1✓ p50 38 ms · p99 121 ms$

Everything the schema already says, served for you.

Weft works from the spec you already keep. You do not write routes, hand-roll clients or wire up docs by hand.

Typed clients that match the live API

The SDK comes from the same schema that runs your endpoints. Rename a field and the build fails in your editor, not in a customer's checkout.

const order = await weft.orders.get("ord_72hK")
order.total // number, checked against the live schema

Rollbacks in one click

Each deploy keeps its previous build warm for 14 days. Roll back one region or the whole fleet from the dashboard, or run weft rollback.

Rate limits clients can read

Limits sit next to each route. Responses carry the remaining quota in headers, so clients slow down before they meet a 429.

How a request moves

Three hops, each with its own log line.

  1. Edge check. The request is matched against the schema version for its key and rejected early if the body does not fit.
  2. Schema match. The handler and its types come from the deployed build, so older clients keep talking to the version they were built against.
  3. Origin call. Your service receives a clean request with a request ID and the quota it has left.

“We went from a sprint of SDK upkeep each quarter to an afternoon, and the docs stopped drifting.”

Questions

Answers before you join the list.

All questions are on the FAQ page.

Do I need to change my API to use Weft?

No. Point Weft at an OpenAPI file or a set of TypeScript types. Existing routes keep their paths.

Where is my data stored?

Logs stay in the region the request ran in. You choose the regions on your plan.

Can I self-host?

Not in the beta. Enterprise customers can request a dedicated region from the Enterprise section of the pricing page.
