Kitchen · Quince Terrace, Pellingford
The Quince Terrace kitchen
A white gloss kitchen from 2009, in good working order and no fun at all. We kept the layout and the plumbing, painted new shaker doors Fig Leaf, tiled the wall in hand-glazed ochre and turned walls and ceiling plaster pink.

What changed
Three moves, one plumber.
The carcasses were sound, so the budget went on doors, tiles, stone and a properly made pantry door.
Keep the plumbing
The sink, hob and dishwasher stayed put, which saved roughly £6,000 and four weeks on site.
Olive below, pink above
Fig Leaf on units and pantry, Bare Plaster on walls and ceiling. The ochre tiles sit between the two.
Arch the pantry
The opening was widened and fitted with an arched, glazed door made by Tull & Hearne in oak.
