# Use your other tools

Yes, you can use the tools you already like with your Page Lemon site: newsletter forms, other checkouts, analytics, uptime checks, test tools, form builders and automation apps. This page shows how each one connects, and what Page Lemon already does for that job built in.

## Say this to your AI

```prompt
Add my Tally form to my contact page on PageLemon.com
```

```prompt
Send new users of my app to my Mailchimp list
```

## What your AI will ask you

- Which tool, and what you want it to do on your site.
- The code or link the tool gives you, such as its embed code, a checkout link or a webhook address.
- Whether the tool sets cookies, and whether your site already asks visitors before cookies are used.
- Whether it should run on your app's app pages too. By default your AI keeps outside scripts off them.

## What to have ready

- **An account with the tool.** Page Lemon doesn't make it for you.
- **Its embed code or link:** in most tools, look for **Share**, **Embed** or **Install** in its settings and copy what it shows.
- **Only public keys.** A tool may give you two keys: a public one for web pages and a secret one for servers. Give your AI only the public one. Never paste a secret key into a chat.
- **For some tools, your site's address in its settings:** many embeds only work on addresses you've added there. Add both your own domain and your `pagelemon.dev` address.

## What happens

1. Your AI tells you which way it will connect the tool (below), what changes on your site and whether the tool sets cookies.
2. It shows you the change and asks first.
3. It adds the code or link, publishes, and opens the page to check the tool loads.
4. It tells you what to add to your privacy notice, and offers to add it.

## Five ways to connect a tool

- **Add its embed code to your page:** a script, a widget or a form from the tool. It runs in your visitors' browsers.
- **Link to it:** a button to the tool's own page, such as a checkout or a booking page.
- **Send your app's events to it** with a [app webhook](/docs/member-webhooks): a new entry or a new user goes to Zapier, Make, n8n or your own server.
- **Let it update your lists** with an [API key](/docs/lists-connect): Zapier, Make, n8n or a script adds items to your lists.
- **Export your list to it:** a CSV file, for Google Sheets, Excel or anything else.

## Tool by tool

| Tool | How it connects | What Page Lemon already does |
|---|---|---|
| Mailchimp, Kit (ConvertKit) | Add their signup form to your page. For new app users, an app webhook to Zapier or Make adds them to your list. Double opt-in stays in their tool | [Contact forms](/docs/forms) collect messages and sign-ups into your lists |
| Resend, Postmark | An app webhook to Zapier, Make or your own server, which sends the email from your Resend or Postmark account | Booking, order and form emails are sent for you; on the highest plans, [from your own address](/docs/email-from-your-domain) |
| Lemon Squeezy, Polar, Paddle, Gumroad | Add their buy button or checkout link to your page. See [Sell with another checkout](/docs/payments#sell-with-another-checkout) | [Payments](/docs/payments) on your own Stripe: buttons, a small shop and paid memberships |
| RevenueCat | Its web billing runs on its own pages, so link to them. Paid memberships in your app run on your own Stripe | [Paid memberships](/docs/payments) open and close app access by themselves |
| Plausible, Fathom | Add their script to your pages. They set no cookies | [Visits and analytics](/docs/analytics), with no cookies |
| Google Analytics, PostHog | Add their script to your public pages, behind a cookie banner for UK and EU visitors. See [Using another analytics tool too](/docs/analytics#using-another-analytics-tool-too) | [Visits and analytics](/docs/analytics) |
| UptimeRobot, Better Stack | Point a check at your site's address, and one at your app's sign-in page if you have an app | Page Lemon's own status is at [status.pagelemon.com](https://status.pagelemon.com) |
| Playwright, Checkly | Run your tests against your live address or your staging copy. See [Test with Playwright or Checkly](/docs/staging#test-with-playwright-or-checkly) | [Staging copies](/docs/staging) and the [accessibility check](/docs/accessibility) on every publish |
| Tally, Typeform, Google Forms | Add their embed code or link to your page. Answers stay in their tool; to copy them into a Page Lemon list, use Zapier or Make with an API key ([Use your lists in other apps](/docs/lists-connect)) | [Contact forms](/docs/forms), with spam protection, notifications and your inbox |
| Trigger.dev, Inngest, Upstash QStash | An app webhook starts your job; your job writes results back with an API key | Spam limits, counts and daily limits are built in |
| Zapier, Make, n8n | App webhooks out, an API key in | [Use your lists in other apps](/docs/lists-connect) |
| Google Sheets, Airtable, Notion | A CSV export for any of them, an API key to write back | [Lists](/docs/lists) |
| Supabase | Its public key and its own sign-in can run in your page code. Then Supabase holds that data and those accounts, not Page Lemon | [Your app](/features/apps): user sign-in and app lists |
| Chat widgets, maps, videos, calendars, reviews | Add their embed code to your page | [Bookings](/docs/bookings) for appointments |

## Tools that need a server

Page Lemon runs no code of yours on its servers, so tools that need a server (sending email with a secret key, background jobs, a database you call with a password) run on your own account with that tool. They talk to your site in two ways: your app's events go out to them with an app webhook, and their results come back into your lists with an API key.

## Keep secret keys out of your pages

Your pages are public: anyone can read their code. Only public keys belong there, such as a Google Analytics measurement ID, a PostHog project key or a Stripe publishable key (it starts `pk_`).

Page Lemon refuses to publish a site whose files hold something that looks like a secret key. If a key was ever in a public page or a chat, replace it in that tool's settings.

## Your site's security policy

Page Lemon adds no Content-Security-Policy to your pages. If your site has its own (a line in the page's code that lists which addresses may load scripts), add each tool's addresses to it, or the tool won't load. Your AI does this when it adds the tool.

## Cookies and your privacy notice

- **Page Lemon's own analytics set no cookies,** so it needs no cookie banner.
- **Tools that set cookies or track visitors across sites,** such as Google Analytics, PostHog with its default settings, the Meta Pixel and many chat widgets, usually need visitors in the UK and the EU to agree before they load. Page Lemon doesn't add a cookie banner, so ask your AI to add one that loads those tools only after a visitor agrees.
- **Add every tool to your site's privacy notice:** what it collects and why. You choose these tools, so telling visitors about them is up to you. See [Privacy and your data](/docs/privacy-and-data#your-visitors-data).

## On app pages

Your app's app pages show each user their own entries. By default your AI keeps analytics, session recordings and chat widgets off them, so users' entries can't leave through someone else's script. If you want one there, ask: your AI adds it with users' text and typing hidden from recordings, and you name it in your privacy notice.

> **Plans:** embed codes and links work on every plan. API keys work on every plan once your site is kept. App webhooks are on every paid plan. [See pricing](/pricing).

## Good to know

- **The tools you connect aren't run by Page Lemon.** You choose them, and their own terms and privacy policies apply.
- **Prefer a built-in feature when there is one:** then form replies, bookings and orders land in your notifications, your inbox, your exports and privacy requests.
- **Something not loading?** See [An embed or script doesn't load](/docs/fix-a-problem#an-embed-or-script-doesnt-load).
