# Use your lists in other apps

Let Zapier, Make or your own script add items to a list, with an API key limited to your site. Page Lemon stays the one place your list lives.

## Say this to your AI

```prompt
How do I add new Google Sheets rows to my events list with Zapier?
```

Your AI explains the steps. Making the key is done by you in the app.

## What to have ready

- Your site kept in your Page Lemon account, with the list made.
- An [API key](/docs/api-tokens) for that one site that can change its lists.
- An account with the tool you connect, such as Zapier or Make.

It's one-way: what you type into your sheet comes to Page Lemon only when the tool you connect sends it.

## Zapier: add a sheet row to a list

1. Make a Zap with the trigger **Google Sheets** → **New Spreadsheet Row**.
2. Add the action **Webhooks by Zapier** → **Custom Request**.
3. **Method:** POST. **URL:** `https://api.pagelemon.com/v2/sites/your-site/lists/events/items`, with your site's name and the list's name.
4. **Data:** `{"values": {"name": "…", "date": "…"}}`, putting the sheet's columns in place of the dots (Name, Date). Each name before a colon is a column of your list.
5. **Headers:** `Authorization` with the value `Bearer ` followed by your key, and `Content-Type` with `application/json`.
6. Test it: the item appears in your list, and on your site if a page shows the list.

## Make

Use the **HTTP** → **Make a request** module: the same URL, method **POST**, a header `Authorization: Bearer <your key>`, body type **Raw**, content type **JSON**, and the same body as above.

## For developers

```bash
curl -X POST https://api.pagelemon.com/v2/sites/maison-cafe/lists/menu/items \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer plak_..." \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"values": {"name": "Leek and potato soup", "price": 6.5}}'
```

Reading works the same with `GET` on `/v2/sites/<site>/lists/<list>/items`, and `items:batch-create` adds up to 100 at once. The full list of addresses is in the [REST API reference](/docs/api) and the guide for AIs.

## Keep it safe

- Treat the key like a password: never put it in your site's files, a chat or a shared document.
- Give each tool its own key, limited to the one site, so you can revoke them one at a time.

## Good to know

- **The tools you connect aren't run by Page Lemon.** You choose them, and their own terms and privacy policies apply. See [Privacy and your data](/docs/privacy-and-data).
